South Africa and New Zealand will square off in a two-match Test series starting in early February. The opening match between the two teams is scheduled to take place from February 4th to February 8th at the Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui. And the second test, from 13 to 17, is held at Seddon Park in Hamilton.
Unfortunately for the visitors, they will be without their main guns in the Test series against the Kiwis due to a scheduling clash with the SA20 league.
Uncapped player Neil Brand will lead the Proteas into this series, which includes some experienced players such as Duane Oliver, Keegan Petersen, Zubayr Hamza, David Bedingham, and Khaya Zondo.
The Kiwis, after defeating Pakistan by a margin of 4-1 in a five-match T20 series, will now lock horns to face the Proteas under the leadership of Tim Southee. Kane Williamson and Rachin Ravindra are also included in the squad. Former skipper Kane Williamson is back after missing the last three games against Pakistan due to an injury. His return has strengthened the top-order position for New Zealand.
